I'm Logan Cartwright. I became a licensed General Contractor here in Santa Cruz in 1978. I have been designing, drafting, obtaining permits and building for clients since those early days. I still have my original Brunning drafting machine I started with over 25 years ago. Today, however, I use a high end, state-of-the-art, computer aided design solution to bring your project to life. Detailed, high-resolution 2D drawings help make the permit process easier, and representatively accurate 3D perspectives help you better visualize, and ultimately accomplish your project/remodel goals.

Whether it's a basic room expansion, a total home remodel, a second story addition, or simply siding, deck, or structural enhancements, replacements, or repairs, I'm here to help you with extreme care and concern for the dream you have for your living space.

With many home modifications and remodels, it's hard for owners to see how changes really effect the big picture. That's where I can help. I have years of whole-home design experience and 3D design visualization. Maybe you would just like to move some walls around and you'd like to see what a change in kitchen and other wall locations might allow. With my services you can see nearly exactly what you have in mind in 3D, and not be forced into the same old box. I have the experience and design skills to think and design "outside the box" while staying functional and efficient. We can move any wall and show you what it would look like not only in 3D but also with a Quick-Time walk through movie, as we get near the final stages of design.

Time spent in the design/planning stages of your construction project is "golden time". Making changes in the planning stages is like free money compared to the wastefulness of bad or hurried up planning.

When you are finally ready to proceed, I'm there to help with getting your plans through the appropriate agencies. This can be very tricky processes (especially with the new 2007 Calif.Building Codes which are based on the 2006 IBC from the ICC,(International Code Counsel) which I have been studying for over a year before Jan 08's adoption mandate). Having a understanding of these new codes can save you headaches, time and money! Let me show you the way through to the last final detail!
